CJC-1295/Ipamorelin combines CJC-1295, a synthetic long-acting analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), with Ipamorelin, a selective pentapeptide agonist of the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). The pairing is studied in preclinical and early-phase research on growth hormone/IGF-1 axis activation, pituitary somatotroph signaling, and receptor-selective secretagogue pharmacology.
Studied for (preclinical / in vitro research):
• Dose-dependent GH and IGF-1 elevation via GHRH-receptor/Gs/cAMP/PKA signaling in Phase I dose-escalation research (Teichman et al., 2006)
• Preservation of pulsatile GH secretion during continuous GHRH-receptor stimulation (Alba et al., 2006)
• Albumin-bioconjugation (DAC) mechanism extending peptide half-life to approximately 6-8 days in pituitary GRF-receptor activation studies (Jetté et al., 2005)
• Selective ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) binding and GH-releasing potency comparable to GHRP-6 in rat and swine models (Raun et al., 1998)
• Minimal cortisol, ACTH, and prolactin stimulation relative to earlier-generation GH secretagogues in receptor-selectivity profiling
• Longitudinal bone growth and bone mineral content changes in rodent GH-axis research
• Serum proteomic biomarker changes associated with GH/IGF-1 axis activation (Sackmann-Sala et al., 2009)
